Active Principle

  • The active constituent of Fenugreek fiber is galactomannan
  • The active ingredients in the extract are 4-hydroxyisoleucine and glycosidal saponins. It also contains crude proteins and minerals like calcium, magnesium potassium .

Advantages

  • Fenugreek Fiber FENUSOL ™
Fenugreek fiber contains the highest concentration of soluble fiber, which are odorless and tasteless. The fiber contains galactomannan, which is composed of a Mannose backbone with Galactose molecules attached. It delays sugar absorption and also improves the insulin response to meals.
The hypocholesterolaemic effect in it has been attributed to increased conversion of hepatic cholesterol to bile salts. Viscous mucilaginous fiber binds with bile acids causing reduction in cholesterol and fat absorption.
  • Fenugreek Extract
Its major amino acid, 4-hydroxyisoleucine, stimulates insulin secretion from perfused pancreas.
Glycosidal saponins such as Diosgenin and Tigogenin also inhibit intestinal absorption of cholesterol.

Suggested intake
