| Coleus forskohlii is a small perennial member of the mint family Labiatae.It grows on the sun-exposed, dry slopes of the mountains of India, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.

The radially spread rootstock is the portion of the plant which is used for medicinal purpose. The extracts taken from the roots contain pharmacologically active Forskolin. No other species of Coleus contains Forskolin. The standardized extract provides 10 % to 20 % of Forskolin. |
- Cardiovascular diseases such as Hypertension, congestive heart failure, angina
- Eczema (atopic dermatitis)
- Asthma
- Psoriasis
- Glaucoma
| Although Forskolin can be used alone, it may prove to be most useful when combined with other botanicals and/or other measures in the treatment of the above mentioned conditions. |
